So this is the part of my website that I get to tell you a little bit about me. I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a daughter-in-law, a sister-in-law, an aunt, a friend and last but not least a child of God. My desire and passion for the work that I do began about six years ago. When I realized what I wanted to do with this passion for design I already had one child. Megan was about a year old and life was very busy. I was involved in a mothers group called MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and was the lead on the newsletter that was printed each month and was anywhere from 12-20 pages. About 2 1/2 years later I gave birth to our second daughter Kelly. At that time life became crazy. My dreams of having my own business were put on hold for what I thought to be several years. To my surprise it was actually only about seven months away. I was approached by a dear friend who asked me to design her weekend retreat package for her business. It then lead into her Business Cards, Letterhead and Envelopes. At that point my husband and I knew it was time to get started on developing my business. Before I knew it I had about five jobs lined up and still had no business name. My love for paper and scrapbooking lead us to the name Paper Doll Printing and Design. I desired to create exactly what each person wanted whether it be elegant, professional, cutesy, whimsical, retro or any other type of design. So from October 1, 2006 my business took off. I work out of my office that my amazing husband designed just for me with plenty of toys for the girls to play with while mommy works. I mostly work during naps or early in the morning before my girls wake up. My husband is exceptionally supportive and daily encourages me. I consider myself to be incredibly blessed to be able to stay home with my children and work out of my home. Thank you for taking the time to read this little tid bit about us. I hope that we can fulfill your every desire with our business. "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, Lean not on your own understandings, In all ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct your paths straight." Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 |
